Last Friday I was having dinner, and I bit down on my tongue really hard. It hurt really badly at first, and I thought it would just go away like every other time i've accidentally bit my tongue. I woke up the next day, and the tip of my tongue was red, sore, and there was a little piece that had eroded, i guess, from the rest of my tongue. It's like my tongue has this awkward bump on the tip, and it really hurts. It's been a few days now, and it's still there, it still hurts, and when i eat something sweet it stings.
I'm not sure if you can bruise your tongue, but if i haven't, what could I have done? It really hurts and I want it to go away. Would putting that numbing medicine for kankersores on it be a bad idea?

There isn't much you could've done. You just bit it & it was a lot harder than probably what you did before. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. Yes, it's going to be sore & somewhat painful. It will be more of an annoyance than anything else though. If it lasts longer than a week, you may want to schedule a doctor's appointment. That's only if the pain keeps up though.
