Okay, so. When it comes to my friends i'm really outgoing & not shy at all. But when I'm around new people I'm VERY shy and VERY quiet. But, I love acting. I do it with my family, we make videos, etc. And I love it. But I've been hesitating on ever trying out for any plays or anything because I know i'd blow it when I'd have to audition, due to my whole being really shy thing. My question is if anyone can give me any advice on how to get over being so nervous & shy all the time? I'd really hate to miss out on something that could be great for me because I can't get over being shy. :] Help, please. Any advice is appreciated. Thankyou.

Since im really shy too, all you do is tell yourself over and over to be confident, and almost take a step out of yourself, and almost rise above the shyness level in your brain. I dont no if that makes since, but you just have to tell yourself not to care what people think, and you have to tell your self to not be all shy and just rise above that level. i no that might not make since... but if you can makeyourself think like that than you wont be shy. And just remember that its okay to be nervous because everyone is, but just dont let it get to you! [ CheRrYToP_x3's advice column | Ask CheRrYToP_x3 A Question ]

I auditioned for the school play this past fall, and I was a freshman so I didn't know anyone, and I was really nervous and shy. I told myself that if I let that get to me, I would never get a part. So, I was myself, and I appeared confident, and I got a part!
So, my point is, if you just let it go for your audition, you'll be fine. I hope that helps!
