i want a beetle (17 yrs old) but would it be impractical?

My best friend is 17 and has a beetle. I don't see how it would be impractical. It's compact, has great gas mileage, and is easy to handle. My friend has had it for about two years and loves her little bug.

I think it's a pretty good choice for a car personally.
