eye infection

Question Posted Sunday June 24 2007, 8:10 pm

so i have an eye infection called papillary conjunctivitus and i have to wear my glasses now instead of contacts. i went to the eye doctor like 3 weeks ago and since then i did all she said, didnt wear contacts, and did the eye drops. i went back a few days ago and its still there, so now 3 stupid more weeks of glasses. i hate my glasses i just cant stand wearing them they bother my nose and i hate seeing the rims, and i hate how i look in them..anyways i was wondering if anyone knew any ways to make the infection possibly heal faster, because i go to camp in a month and dont want to wear them there! thanks so much!!

You really can't do much besides avoid any contact with your eye & continue to follow your opthamologist's instructions. Doing anything different may cause an even greater infection or more complications. & your eyesight is definitely more important than your appearance. As far as wearing glasses - I think some of them are actually pretty cute. But since yours seem to be uncomfortable, see if you can get something that fits better (as long as it's not too pricey & your insurance will pick some of it up.) It'll be okay, keep your head up! I promise. :)

don't touch/come in contact with it.
that just exposes germs.
