Bracess I saw you answer a question about braces and you mentioned springs.
Well, I have to get a spring on my next appointment which is in I think early July. How does it feel, and what exactly does it do? I know it's kinda a self explanatory question, but, I would just like to have a more understanding of it.
Thanks a lot.

The spring moves your teeth very quickly to speed up the braces process.
Usually, they will remove 2 brackets (1 top, 1 bottom), and connect the spring to the wire. Both ends of the spring are able to move side-to-side. (Sorry, don't know how exactly to explain it) The spring connects your upper and lower rows of teeth.
I'm not going to lie, at first it's not fun. For the first few days you can't open your mouth all the way and eating is pretty hard. However within 2-3 days you should adjust and be able to eat, brush your teeth normally, etc. again. It just takes getting used to. It feels odd at first, just as braces did, but it gets better. Eat soft foods (soup, scrambled eggs, smoothies, applesauce) and take advil if it hurts. The good thing is that having springs means you'll have your braces off sooner! :) ]
