I was wondering if it's a good idea to use movies as examples in the essay, as long as it fits the prompt you're writing about? Or should we stay away from movies and just stick with literary, historical, and personal experiences?
Teenagerr answered Saturday June 23 2007, 6:33 pm: Depends on what kind of essay it is.
If it's an important one, such as an SAT essay, stick to historical examples. I remember in SAT prep they warned us about that. You should usually only put literary and historical examples in essays.
If the essay isn't that big of a deal then throw a movie example into it. It depends really on what the essay's for. You probably shouldn't only have movie example's though. [ Teenagerr's advice column | Ask Teenagerr A Question ]
