LaceyIsPrettyBomb answered Tuesday June 19 2007, 11:31 pm: i deffffinetly dont reccommend doing it yourself. as with peircing anything by yourself, you run the risk of getting infections even if you sterilize everything. you can peirce it crooked, and the jewelry wont sit right in it. that will lead to it messing up your gums and teeth becuase it wont sit flat against your lip on the inside.there are numerous other things that could go wrong, so all in all, i deffinetly reccommend you getting it perfessionally done. i have mine done, and it was a breeze with a professional. it was like 50 dollars or something, well worth it instead of messing it up by doing it myself. its a facial pericing, so everyone will see it if you mess it up or if i gets infected, theres no way of hiding it.
cheifbritneeilu answered Tuesday June 19 2007, 10:57 pm: save yourself the agrivation and worries go to a place. if you dont you can get infected and ruin your gums and teeth and you really dont want that when your 40 because when you were 16 you wanted a piercing. (those were random ages) if you do though make sure you have everything sterile or it will more likely be infected. seriously though its easier going to a place. and their really not ALL that expensive if you ask me.

I did it some time ago and not only did it hurt (as soon as the needle got halfway through the numbness went away and we even used kanka instead of ice) it was crooked.
It came in straight, but to get the needle through to the other side we had to push up instead of in.
