Does anybody know what a wiki is? Is it like a website? I need to know ASAP!!!!!!!! PLEASE!

Wikipedia is an example of a wiki, but it is not the first wiki nor will it be the last.
A wiki is a website, or similar online resource, which allows users to add and edit content collectively.
I have an wiki for each of the english classes I teach.
