shakespeare monologues

Question Posted Sunday June 17 2007, 6:42 pm

ok so I start camp tomorrow...and we're supposed to bring in three shakespeare monologues we want to work on and I found all these sites that have monologues, but I have no clue what's going in the play at that point, so it doesn't make much sense to me.
can someone PLEASE give me shakespeare monologues for woman with a mini discription of what's going on in the play and the translation?
thanks!
14/f

What three Shakespeare monologues do you plan on working on? Are you only doing the parts of women?

In any case, the answer to all your problems:

No Fear Shakespeare on Sparknotes helps so much! It shows the original text and a modern-day "translation" of the work.

You have probably read or heard of Romeo and Juliet so you can pick a well-known monologue from the Sparknotes un-translated version, copy and paste.

For the summaries and stuff, I refer you to this part of the site:

You're all set! :) If you need more help, drop one in my inbox!

I haven't read all of Shakespeare's plays but hopefully I can help!
