Phone lurker...

Question Posted Friday June 15 2007, 6:41 pm

Help, please

Someone just called our house phone, and whene i picked up, no one was there. I said 'Hello' a bunch of times, and still no one was there. Then they started breathing into the phone, and then whistling into it. And they're still doing it right now, they won't hang up, and i'm too curious to hang up. BUt i'm also scared.

What should I do?

It's probably some jerk who won't take no as an answer. Just say you'll call somebody(parents/operator etc...) if they don't leave you alone. Keep your voice firm and serious. If it turns out to be a friend you should just keep calm and tell them it wasn't funny at all.

It sounds like a prank phone call, so if they continue to call you, just do something stupid back.

If you really get worried, call your phone company or call the number back. If you have to, ask the phone company to see where the phone call is being made from; I'm sure they'll help if you're really worried.

hmmm yea it could be maybe your friends or people that know you just as the person below me said. so you can ignore them. but if this phone calling keeps happening for a long time and keeps on going non stop then maybe you should contact the police to trace the call so they can see who's doing this because stuff like this is serious. it could be a serial killer trying to get your location. (sorry if im scaring you but just giving out a few possibilities.) so maybe when u answer your phone next time and no one answers back you could threaten them that you are gonna get the police if the person keeps on doing this to you and maybe who knows you might make your friends confess up if it is them.

Ok, this could seriously be just a prank call & you obviously never had anyone do this before on the phone but a lot of my friends that prank call & a lot of people i know, do that...they get that junk from movies & it's supposed to scare you & make you confused. For now, just don't pick up the phone & don't worry about it. Trust me this happens a lot.Just don't worry.
