But to me.. those look like extensions/ clip ins!

Well I don't think you can do it.
When you dye your hair, it's going to come out as one color. it's not going to look faded until you wash your hair a lot.
Just go to a beauty store and buy clip ons
I've never seen anyone with their real hair.. dyed faded like that only when it was actually fading.
Those pictures aren't going to help anyone because Ashley Tisdale wears extensions..
