ok so i'll be listening to it and the volume will just spazz out and go from silent to blasting so loud i have to take the headphones out. and nothing will be touching the controls. is it just that the button got stuck or is something wrong?
yarmica answered Thursday June 14 2007, 11:53 am: urghhh i hated that! i had the same problem. mine turned out to be from the headphones that come with the ipod (those low quality white ones) anyway something about the wires not being protected by the plastic cover outside or so. you can either buy another one (waste of money!) or just go get something from sony or some other brand that will work better with the ipod.
to know if thats the case with your pod try movine the wire from the tip (where it connects to the ipod) if the volume adjusts then thats it. otherwise i'd suggest you take it to an apple center or retailer and get them to check it. i think ipods have warranties on them. if you got the warantee then you should take it back
but also at best buy if there is one near you theres geek squad where you take your broken things and they look at them and i think its free but im not sure try it though but your ipod might just be sensitive.. i dont have one but if there is a setting for like the volume touching sensitivity (lol) try making it less sensitive but i think your best bet would be best buy or calling the company.
