is it okay to give my hamster a shoelace to chew on. i think she might enjoy it but i dont want ot give her anything unhealthy. i could always tie it to the bars of her cage.

No I don't think that would be a good idea. She could swallow part of it, while the rest of it is still in her mouth, and she could choke. Don't hampsters like to chew on small sticks? Maybe a piece of leather. Is the shoe lace leather? If so, that would be OK, but cut it into small pieces, like an inch or so.
