I have a problem with my apperance. Sometimes I am in love with the way I look (actually always, but at the same time I hate my face).
Everyone tells me how gorgeous & beautiful I am, and guys call me "hott" but I don't see it. There are 100 things wrong with my face such as uneven eyebrows, smallish eyes, my nose is kinda small, my chin is too point, my teeth are pretty good but could be better, and my nose... ah my nose is just another story.
But whenever I pass a mirror, I stop and stare at myself for 10 minutes at a time. I'm pretty vain, but at the same time I hate my looks.
I want to know why I am so in love with the way I look when really I hate it?
And how to get over the Vanity. Thanks in advancee.

Everyone can pick and find things wrong with their body. This may sound stupid, but all you have to do is stay away from mirrors. If you have to check out your outfit and see how it looks, look at yourself from afar. Don't get close up and check yourself out. It's all about self control. The less you look at yourself, the less you think about your looks, and after a while you just won't care as much as you used to. It worked for me, and it will work for you. Have a look of modesty on your face and it'll make you a bit more innocent, so that you'll be able to tolerate those days when you don't look your best and so will others because you'll be someone who is approachable. Just remember: we are far more critical of ourselves than others are towards us. I think I am pretty vain myself, so I don't know how to get past that, but these steps could be a start.
