Antiperspirants

Question Posted Monday June 4 2007, 9:58 pm

I recently heard antiperspirants can cause cancer, is this true? I NEED to wear antiperspirant or I have really, really bad sweat stains under my arms, which also smells. I don't want cancer, but I don't want to stop using antiperspirant.

hi,
haha no it doesnt cause cancer,
or everyone in the world would
have cancer,
dont worry it wont cause cancer
in fact,
it actually makes you cleaner so
your hygene would be better, then
you have a less chance you would
get some sort of disease or w.e.

okay yes most deoderants cause cancer except the organic ones.. which mostly dont work so i wouldnt even bother trying that. so theres nothing you can really do about that. theres probably a few kinds that dont have the aluminum stuff in it. check the labels.

antiperspirants can cause breast cancer because of the aluminum that's in them..chances are it wont happen...but the possibilities are there...but there are lots of things that can cause cancer that we do anyway...this is on the lower risk level...don't worry about it...if your truly that concerned...try "crystal clean" deodorant it's just the deodorant and not an antiperspirant

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. The only cancer I've heard that antiperspirants can cause is breast cancer, but that's proved false on numerous web sites, such as:

This web site also provides lots of information about why it doesn't cause cancer.

So don't worry, you're fine!

Oh geeze, I've heard of that. EVERYTHING causes cancer now. The next thing you'll hear is SHOWERING will cause cancer. Ignore it. People use antiperspirants everyday and they're not going to get cancer. Believe me, people will thank you for it, no one likes stinky armpits. :P
