New fish + Gold fish?

I need the answer to this ASAP. Will a White African Cichlid get along with a gold fish? I've had the goldfish for about 4-6 months now and the cichlid is new.

Oh and if you have any care taking tips for the African cichlid, please tell me them because i have no clue how to take care of it..

sorry... i have no idea if an african chichild will get along with a gold fish,
