Moop answered Monday June 4 2007, 4:37 pm: do you have spots as in full blown acne or red spots without whiteheads? if you have red discoloration that's almost like scarring, you do not need an acne treatment because it's not quite acne and a strong treatment will make it worse. you'd need some sort of treatment for redness and uneven skin. check out an aveda store in your area (if you have one) or aveda online. the treatments are all natural so your skin won't get any worse. also, their make-up line tends to go together with their skin line in order to further correct whatever your problem might be. LM answered Monday June 4 2007, 4:26 pm: Tru Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It's about 5-6 dollars here in the U.S.; I'm sure you can find it in the UK too, it may have a slightly different name. Also, try Clean&Clear Advantage Spot Treatment if you can find it.
Other options you have are ProActiv [it's worth a try if other things have failed for you] and seeing a dermatologist. They can prescribe you stronger medicines and topical creams, and give you exactly what you need for your type of acne. They can even prescribe you antibiotics, in some cases, which could clear up the problem almost completely. [ LM's advice column | Ask LM A Question ]
