hey this is about the great gatsby question.. my topic is a character study of daisy.. in my paper i want to put in how fitzgerald uses the color white when describing her. it gives an innocent feeling when in reality it's the total opposite. also how she is greedy and that's why she's with tom, for the benefits of being wealthy. and i want to write another thing on her and gatsby. i dont know how to make a general thesis statement that is real good. so if you could help i'd appreciate it thanks!

Maybe something about how Daisy is described as white because she seems to innocent and pure - like America - but it's just a mask to hide her real self.
or how Daisy is seeking a better life through tom, just as people come to america seeking a better life but there's nothing that says anyone has to gain it honestly. Even the most innocent of people, like Daisy, can want and seek a better life through not-so-innocent means.
the flower daisies are most commonly white as well. not sure it's a helpful note, but knowing classic writers, there is probably some play on that.
