okay so i get cali is cheif resident...but who was chief resedent before that....and im confused about who is becoming chief of surgery...is richard staying?

They dont tell us who was chief resident before callie. As far as chief goes Richard offered the job to derek but derek turned him down saying that Richard was the best for the job and should stay on, so now we dont know if Richard will. So the chief of surgery is still left a mystery.

i don't think they ever say who was chief resident before cally, but i think that richard is probably staying, otherwise mcdreamy's big shpeal about how he shouldn't be chief and richard should would be pointless. so yeah, richard is staying unless we find out at the beginning of next season that he actually doesn't want it, but whatever. it's confusing. i can't wait till it starts up again!
