transfer student

i need to make sure i become a transfer student and not waste any time in a community college.
how do i make it clear to them that, thats what i want?also what is the placement test like? i know its math and english but what level and how do i prepare for it? anything you think i should know about?>thanks

As long as you tell them to start with that you will want to transfer eventually, they'll get the point -- community colleges are really good about that, because half the people that go, have the intention of establishing a GPA and then transferring.

As far as the placement test goes, it'll be basic math and basic English. Geometry and basic algebra for the math portion, plus things like common sense addition -- nothing "higher level." As far as English, it'll be pretty much like your state standardized tests... sentence structure, punctuation, reading comprehension. I don't know if there's a writing portion. I don't know if they'd have information on the placement tests on the college's website, but you should look around for it; you might even find practice tests.

To start off with the placement test, they're really not that hard.
its basic math and english... a lot of common sense stuff. and basic knowledge. o real need to worry about it =) although if you absolutely feel like you want to try tp prepare yourself, you can go online and google placement test prep... and there you go =)
As for being a transfer student, simply tell them! =)
