8th grade dance
i'm worried about someone or more than one person asking me to the dance. the only thing is.. i like this one guy but i don't know how much i really like him.
my real question is: if someone asks me to the dance that i wouldn't necessarily want to go with and i say no because i kind of want someone else to ask me and because i don't really like them enough.. and then end up going just with a bunch of friends is that ok?
what do you say if someone asks you that you don't particularly want to go with but then no one else asks you either?
is it mean to go with no one in particular instead of the person that asked you that you said no to?

It's not mean at all! don't go with someone that you don't truely 100% wanna go with- it's going to spoil all of your fun. even if you kind of wanted to go with this person, you could just go with your friends and still be able to hang out or dance with this guy at the 8th grade dance. it's fine! if you feel a little guilty about lying, just tell him that you're HOPING for this other guy to ask.. and that your other friends alreaedy planned on and are looking forward to going with you. he should understand. i hope this helped in some way! :]
