I have a Macintosh computr myself. The best advice I can give you is to call 1-800-My-Apple and ask for technical support. The technicians on the end of the other line will be able to help you trouble-shoot the problem andhave things up and running in minutes.

While talking to them you might want to ask them about their Apple Care plan that allows you to get 24/7 technical support. I know that once you call apple's technical support hotline that they'll be able to fix it for you.

The other thing you might want to do if that doesn't help (it will) is to look up apple.com and locate an Apple Store near you where you can take your computer in and have them fix the issue or you can walk in to and tell them what's happening.

Don't go to best Buy or a retailer like that as they don't know shit about Apple products and are after teir commision and charging you high fees for repair or to remedy something that is easy. Apple's people are best either on the phone or in person as they don't get a commision for trying to help you.
