well, he txt me sayin dat he do LUV my ex-best friend n dat he stil wanna b friends w/ me..i told him id rather 4get him dan b friends w/ him...do u think i did the ryt thing?

Yeah you handled it the best you could. Because if you decided to be friends with him, oh that would have caused even MORE problems. Being friends would have caused you to still think about him and possibly fall back in love with him! Until your completely over him, don't talk to him. It will make things worse.
