Hey! no, i don't think it's weird for a girl to ask a guy to the eighth grade dancee. it's actually pretty admirable- it shows you have alot of courage and it will also make that guy feel great that someone would wanna go with him. not everyone gets asked to the dance, so if you decide not to ask a guy and no guy asks you- it's no sweat! i'm sure everyone has someone dying to ask them.. its just that some people get scared and back out. if this happens .. just go with a big group of friends, it's still just as fun if not more. good luckk! :]
Ps. not having a date to the dance can also be a plus- this way you can dance with as many guys as you want! ;] haha.
