knee problem!

Question Posted Monday May 14 2007, 6:56 pm

Every time I workout or on my knee too much I get shooting pains in it. Like today, I walked 1/2 mile and rode my bike for 20 minutes and it started to hurt. What can be wrong? Thanks in advance!

It's possible that you're just working your knee too hard.
But you may want to see a doctor. I have a problem with both of my knees where my kneecaps aren't really in tact, so if I work them too hard, my knee actually pops out of place.
I got it checked out by a doctor and she said if it happens, I would have to wear knee braces.

So it would probably be best to get it checked by a doctor.

I hope this helped! :]

don't worry. it could just be a growing pain. But if it always hurts you might want to see a doctor. I have this thing called Jumper's Knee and Os-good-slaughter <- i'm not sure how to spell it.

my knee likes to pop out or get really piercing pains when i do jumps or run. Sometimes they might just order a small little band that wraps around the bottom of your knee cap to keep it from rubbing against a bone or you might get one of those big bluky-ish braces which help but can get a little sweaty and itchy if you don't shave =P [i'm hoping your a girl lol]

but my advice; if it keeps happening or you've had it for a couple months get it checked out.

good luck!

p.s. you could try icing or using this thing called biofreez stuff it ices then gets really warm to relax the muscle.
