Gold/Golden What's the difference between 'gold' and 'golden?' For example, you would say gold necklace, right? But I'm reading a book and it says "... golden apple ..."

Pretty much, gold is used in a context where the item in question is made of gold. So a 'gold necklace' is made of gold.
Golden, however, is used in a context where the item is suggestive of gold, or if it's of great value, like 'the golden apple' or 'the golden calf'. ]
