What I would do in your situation is to suggest to him that it might be more fun for the both of you if you got a bunch of your friends together and went out in a big group. If he really wants to know why, tell him that you're not allowed to go on single dates yet.

Play by ear you know? I mean if he puts his arm around you, thats nothing its like a hug. and anything further just ask him nicely to stop. He'll listen.
