advanced geometry ok ive always been pretty good at math & algebra but advanced geometry is kicking my butt!! soo id love for someone to help me with this problem.
ok its a triangle that is inscribed in a circle and i have to find the values of x & y.
the measure of one angle in the triangle is 2x. thats all the info for the triangle. i know the answer is 30 since the total is 180 degrees, but i dont know the equation to show how i got that.. because 2x=180 would be 90.. so would it be like (3)2x=180?
and also, around the circle, the measures are 6y, 6y again, and 4x. i have no idea what to do there.. in our sample prob we used either substitution or elimination, but how do you do it when theres only 3 measures, because the probs with the inscribed polygons have 4 measures so its easy?
also please dont say go ask my teacher. im convinced she doesnt like kids or answering questions and she'd be about as much help as a brick wall...
thanks!

Okay... the written description of this is really confusing.
How about this... I give you my e-mail address, and if you can scan the diagram you're using, then I may be able to help out.

I'm a 2nd year engineering/technology student, and have a lot of experience with geometry. ]
