how do you know if you really like him???

okay i've got a question
see i used to like this guy who was one of my best friends. everytime i saw him i would get soo freaking happy and i wouldnt stop smiling. i was always excited to see him or hang out with him. well he didnt like me. this storys not about him but its needed to be told. you'll understand in a minute.
well theres this guy who likes me. i thought i liked him but i'm not sure. when i see him, i'm just like ..hi.. like theres not the major excitement i used to get when i saw my old crush. plus i'm noticing things about him that i dont like so much, the more i know him. i'm not sure if i actually like him or just like the fact that he likes me, because i'm not exactly gorgeous.
what do you think?

i'd say sometime, when you're alone, think about it. consider every little thing. i know what you mean when you say "i would get soo freaking happy and i wouldn't stop smiling" but sometime that feeling takes time to develop with other people. this guy could be completely wrong for you or the opposite. next time you two talk pay attention to what he says and how he says it. that might help when you think about what to do later. hope i helped.

i think that when someone tells you that they like you it kind of makes you think of that person differently, maybe just a little. and most likey you just enjoy the fact that he likes you but arent really that into him. since you dont seem to know him too well maybe you should take the time to know him a little better. that way you can decide whether your feelings are of friendship or more than friendship. and since he already likes you it would work out. its better in my opinion to try to go for a guy that you have a chance with and in this case you definately do. if not you can be great as friends too.
