It's not easy to increase your metabolism. First, you have to cut all the unhealthy foods you eat. No chips, no sodas, no donuts, no lard, no friend foods, etc...

Drink plenty of water and eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. Eat six to eight small meals per day instead of three large meals.

Next, you want to put in about an hour of exercise per day. If you can spend about half an hour running(pace yourself) and another half an hour doing sit ups, your metabolism will increase. Every two weeks, try to increase your pace of running. It will hurt, but push yourself as hard as you can.

One way to slow down your metabolism is by dieting. Although dieting does help you lose weight, it pretty much destroys yous metabolism in the long run because your body is a lot more likely to store up fats from food you eat if you diet. The last thing you want to do is to cut calories.
