Foot (bunion) surgery

Question Posted Monday May 7 2007, 2:14 pm

I have a bunion (pretty small/medium) on my left foot, and got approved to have surgery to remove it and reallign my foot. I was wondering a few things:

-if anyone has had it, how long does it generally take to heal, and be back on your feet?

-Is there a lot of post-surgery pain?

-Also, i was told that i wouldn't be able to get the area wet, so I'd have to cover it with a bag while taking a shower.. are there any alternatives, and how annoying is this?

Any other feedback on bunion surgery is greatly appreciated!

It basically explains the procedure and the recovery, and a couple of other things you might need to know. If you don't already.
