Hepatitis C?

Question Posted Sunday May 6 2007, 8:57 pm

Hey everyone! It is Woahtherebabe. I found out that my mom has hepatitis C, but I am really confused. I tried google, because I hate it when people dont look up things, but I got even more confused. How can you get Hepatitis C(like what causes it)?

Thanks!

Web MD is another good place for information.

It basically attacks the liver and your mom can still live a healthy, active life. As mentioned before, Hep C is transferred through the blood - so, be wary of open cuts, etc.

You get it from contact with blood. If a person infected with Hepatitis C has a cut on their hand, and shakes hands with someone who also has a cut on their hand, the disease may be spread. Read this:

I wish you and your mother the best.
