Lemon Juice-Hair Lightening

Question Posted Saturday May 5 2007, 3:58 pm

I know lemon juice lightens your hair color but i was wondering, does it lighten all of your hair? or just highlight it with light peices? I heard it dries out your hair also-any way to prevent that? And if i do decide to do it, how to i get the lemon juice in my hair?

Lemon juice does lighten your hair a little if used correctly. My friend did this and her hair looked great afterward.

While your hair is wet, spray the lemon juice on your hair thoroughly with any clean spray bottle. Then sit in the sun (this part is important) for at least an hour. I would assume the longer you kept in on, the lighter it would be.

Then go wash your hair. If you're worried about it drying out, I'm sure it's nothing a good conditioning can't take care of.
