vagina

Question Posted Friday May 4 2007, 10:33 pm

inside my vagina, the side closest to the front of my body is kind of rigid, which I know is normal. But the side closest to my anus is really soft and squishy, is that normal? Because i heard that it should be kind of rigid and i just want to know if something is wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Sabine answered Saturday May 5 2007, 12:49 am:
You are probably feeling the rigidity of the tissue and cartlidge surrounding your pubic bone in front. You can also sometimes feel bumpiness and that's normal. In the back, it should be soft. It's kind of a tube of flesh and it shouldn't be rigid. If you are very concerned, you can check out books, like Our Bodies, Ourselves or you can ask a parent, or speak with your doctor at your next appointment.

I think what you're describing is normal.
