Okay I know that Anorexia is a mental disease. So what do doctors look for that makes them say that yo u have the disease. Like what are some of the things that they check for? Thanks
Anyways, Anorexia is defined by several things. I can currently think of two.
you have to have a very low BMI, something around 17 or 16 I think.
You have to have lost your period(I have no idea how this would apply to guys)
Anorexics also have a very pale, almost gray apperance of skin. They also have thicker skin growing on their arms.(this isn't one of the definitions for being anorexic though, just a common trait) They'll also gain about a billion pounds from drinking a gallon of water because their metabolism is really screwed up. They'll also be depressed, be insecure, low self esteem, etc...(also a common trait) [ TheWallflower's advice column | Ask TheWallflower A Question ]
