how does someone get a reputation... guys?

Question Posted Friday April 27 2007, 2:58 pm

16/f so i have a really really slutty reputation at my highschool... i don't know why... the worst thing i've done with anyone at school was make-out and dry hump (but he had a girlfriend... which i didn't know about at the time) but then another thing is that a couple times i've come back to school from a weekend or something and i have hickies and stuff... but i don't think anyone notices. so... a bunch of guys think i'm a total slut... and i was wondering if there's anything i can do to show them that i'm not...

You get a reputation from the things that you do. In your case, hooking up every weekend. People can obviously see those hickies you're getting & they turn to think the worst. You can't erase your rep, or start over because first impressions are everything. Just keep being you. Besides, once you graduate & get out into the real world, the clothes you wore, the friends & cliques you had, & your rep won't matter.

if you hook up(make out) with differnt people every weekend, then i guess they think its slutty. but if its the same guy(not the girlfriend guy) but someone else, then i dont see why they call you a slut. but if its a differnt guy every weekend, then they go around telling all their guys stories of things that might not of even happened. so if your making out with differnt guys every weekend, try not to do that so much. but ifs the same guy, then maybe try dating him to show to everyone your not a slut.. hope i helped<3

what kind of clothes do you wear? and do you flirt with guys a lot? make sexual refrences in a joking matter? think about that stuff..and maybe people have been seeing the hickies. try to just not get them. i understand its totally fun. try on the back of your neck kinda..like more underneath your ear. it's way easier to hide. wear scarfs too, thats good. OH! and put a frozen spoon to it every morning. it'll go away in no time. it seems very weird to me that people actually think you're a slut when all you've done is made out. i dont know how you can get them to change their minds about you, just watch what you do and ESPECIALLYYY the way you dress. that can give people the wrong impression
