ammo answered Tuesday April 24 2007, 3:15 pm: Windows messenger is a program that comes pre-installed with Windows XP (I'm not sure if it comes with Win2k) and has a very limited amount of features. If you're after just a very basic chatting tool on the MSN network then you can use Windows messenger without any problems. Windows live comes with a lot more features and additions and there's a lot of things you can do with it (play games, send audio clips, custom emotes etc, etc, etc).
