Training for Race For Life Not sure those of you in the US will know this but it's a mass mini-marathon (2 and a half to three miles) across the UK to raise money for cancer research.
My sister and I have decided to enter and I should stress, I have NEVER done anything like this! It's in two months. I am 5'6, about 10 stone and haven't done any regular exercise since I left school four and a half years ago.
I'm not expecting to turn into some major athlete and you can walk it...but I want to run at least some of the way.
So what sort of foods should I be eating, what should I be drinking, how often do I need to exercise and are there any other tips you can give me?

well i never race like that or anything but if try less fatty food or foods that could slow you down. drink water or green tea. try doing situp about 10 2 times a day. and run for aleast 20-30 minutes itll get you body inshape so it knows what its doing. this will probably get you together in time. GOOD LUCK! =) hope this helps. =] ]
