I work in the cell phone industry and I can tell you that people ruin their phones with water all the time. Even if after letting it sit for a day or two it starts working again it will likely have bad habits like shutting off for now reason, some numbers might not work right and a bunch of other little problems. I recommend getting a new phone (through insurance if you have it) or buy a new one outright and consider this a lesson learned. [ rick505's advice column | Ask rick505 A Question ]

If it's under warranty & insurance, they'll replace it but if not then you might need to buy a new one because water damage can be hard to fix. Also, try not to get water on your phone anymore. When you're gonna use it after being wet, make sure you dry your hands or whatever off first. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
