my friend gave me his ps2 that i know worked at his house but wen i hooked it up on my tv for every disk i put it kept saying disk read error... and i tried like 10 disks... can anyone tell me whats wrong with the ps2 or how i could fix it

Use Gas Duster and a damp lint-free cloth to clean out the inside of the disk tray. If that doesn't work, you can follow this guide:

It's possible you knocked something loose in the move. A repair place might be able to fix it.

It could be a dirty disc, try to clean it. If you clean it well & it says the same thing, it could be the PS2 and it's a good idea to get it checked out at a game store.
