start up programs

Question Posted Wednesday April 18 2007, 4:22 pm

okay so don't you know when you turn on your computer and sign in to your account certain programs automatically start up. well my kodak easyshare program automatically opens in the icon tray and i know you can control what programs start up when you sign on because i have done it before. does any body know how to control this?
i know i read it in the "bottom line" newspaper a while ago i just lost the article and forgot how.

thanks sooo much!
ps. i tried going in to kodak preferences and there weren't really any options like that.

Go to start, then run. Type:

msconfig

And press "ok". Go to the startup tab, and uncheck programs you don't want to start. Carefully look at each entry; it's sometimes hard to determine which is the right program. Press ok. You can restart now or later, it doesn't matter. Be careful not to change any other msconfig settings, these can permanently ruin your system.
