perm. straight, now what?! long but read pleasE:]

Question Posted Saturday April 14 2007, 11:00 pm

So i got my hair permantly straightened and now i leave it down all the time and it bores me to death.

i tryed to bobby pin my bangs like big how everyone does but i part my hair and you can see like a line of no hair, i dont know if that makes sense of whatever. but i dont know what to do!

and how do girls get their hair so big from the top and so thin and straight from the bottom, can i do that?

my hair is
color: dark brown
length: up to boobs
cut/style: "bangs" up to my chin ( cuz i wanna tie it up with out anything falling down, it will bother me) and like layers

any step by step instructions that arent too difficult?
websites are fine, but i like it if its in your own experience

can i still curl my hair?
scrunch it?

^that`s called a cow lick. i have one too. easiest way to hide it is to make a deep side part while your hair is wet. also, always part your hair on the same side when doing a side part. also try a maximum hold hair spray.

for this, you need to get alot of choppy lairs below your chin &less at the bottom.

you won`t be able to scrunch it though, since you won`t have curls while your hair is wet, but you can always curl your hair.

if you need more ask me on my column.

Try using root volumizer on it and then back-combing to create even more volume. Victoria's Secret sells a fabulous volumizer by Johnathan that doesn't make your hair sticky or stiff or anything, but still gives it major volume.

Absolutely it will work with your permanently straightened hair. Supermodel Adriana Lima used to have incredibly kinky/curly hair naturally, but eventually had it permanently straightened. She is still able to style her hair however she wants - straight, curly, wavy, bedhead, etc.

To get the pouf, you need to tease your hair and get it wet and WHILE IT'S WET spray it with hairspray (and brush this part of your hair, so the hairspray is worked in). Then, tease it some more and twist it once to pin it.

my hair is the exact same way, except, it's naturally wavey. when i straighten it, i can never get a pomp, like bobby pinning it on top with a bump. i think it's how our hair is. my friend can do it perfectly. i still curl it and scrunch. it's easy. what i would do is have a friend help you when you do your hair, or get that one spot wet, and then put it up. i hope i helped a little. :]
