Question Posted Saturday April 14 2007, 12:14 am
ok so me and my best guy friend have been friends with benefits for 3weeks now. nobody knows. while joking around with a friend i said that i was doing things with my guy friend and they took the joke too seriously and questioned him about it and he thought i told my friend everything. he flipped out on me even though i said i was joking. now i really like my guy friend as more than a friend and more than a friend with benefits and last night i told him and it seems that ever since i told him things have just been going downhill. i flipped out on him through a text and told him that i had alot on my mind and that i was sorry but i needed him to just bare with me and he hasn't answered me back yet. i dont know what to do. i keep screwing up and im not meaning to and i dont know how to make it right. i keep yelling at him and all i want to do is just kiss him and tell him how much i really really like him. i just spent half an hour crying my eyes out just to send him a text that he didnt answer to. it is possible that he doesnt have his phone on him because sometimes he leaves it in his room. please help me
Brandi_S answered Saturday April 14 2007, 2:56 am: Big lesson learned: Never tell your friends what is secretly going on with someone else, even if you were joking like it wasn't true.
I can't tell you how to fix this, but I can tell you how to do better next time.
Best bet? Don't discuss such matters via phone, text or IM. ALWAYS talk about it in person.
Personal matters, such as explaining about the joking, or telling him your feelings should be said face to face. It's so impersonal to discuss it any other way. Also, you will know for fact if he is listening or ignoring. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
