First off, if you can feel it go in, you're doing it wrong. Second, if you put it in & you can feel it still, you're still doing it wrong. Make sure it goes in painlessly & easily. If you're having trouble, you're doing it wrong.

You might wanna try one that goes with your flow [heavy, ultra, super, jumbo, etc] because if you get the wrong one, it won't absorb everything. You might wanna wear a pantiliner too just in case it doesn't absord everything & you have protection from it getting all over you. Also, take some tylenol or midol so your cramps don't own you everywhere.

And as for the girl below me, if you're cramping because of your tampon, then you probably did it wrong & you need to try again. Also, remember not to leave it in too long because you could get TSS. Read the box for the tampons and it'll explain TSS and how to insert a tampon correctly.

In addition to what ONELOVEEx said, try using a 'junior' or 'slender' size tampon. You may still need a pantyliner. You may even try taking some Tylenol (or your choice)1/2 hour before inserting just so you don't have any crampy pain (most of us don't get that later, but it could happen at first).

I actually find that using a tampon helps with cramps sometimes. I sometimes get crampy when it's time to change the tampon.

Best of luck to you.

Sabine

well i used to be in the saaaaamee situation.. and my advice is to make sure you that put it in all the way. when you put it in, you should feel like you can just barely touch that part of the applicator that you're supposed to hold onto to insert it.. because i used to not put them in all the way, and it would huuuuurtttt. but if it's completely in, i don't even notice them =] tampon struggles are usually all in your head and don't really mean anything.. so just relax, and brrreeaatthhee. =] if you need any more advice, leave me an inbox or IM me =] hope i helpedd ♥
