what constitutes as chick lit or chick flick?

just as the title says

chick lit = books that have a lot of emotion, like love stories
chick flick = movies that have a lot of emotion, like love stories
so chick lit would be like anything by sarah dessen or meg cabot or any of those people. chick flicks are generally like "the notebook" and movies like that.

It's a chick flick if the plot is mostly emotion.

chick flick- "I'm sad", "I'm in love", "I'm happy"

not chick flick- "blow the train up", "kill that guy"
