i hate gym when we go outside. i start sweating & my
heart rate goes up & i feel so tired & gross. well i want
to make my heart rate not shoot up when i start to run.
& the only way to do that is to work out often. well i
have an elliptical. if i go on that for 30 minutes a day
everyday except saturday & sunday, will my heart
rate not shoot up as much? what else can i do to pre-
vent my heart rate from rapidly going up when i go from
walking to sprinting as fast as i can? thanks in advance

If you exercise more, your heart rate will change depending on what type of exercise you do & of course, how long you do it. If you use your elliptical for 30 minutes a day, you will probably see slight changes in your heart rate, but since you aren't using it in gym, it could be a bit different. Try doing the same exercises you use in gym so you get a bigger change. For example, if you run outside, start jogging 20-30 minutes a day on your own so that when you do go to gym, it won't be such a vigorous exercise because you're used to it. This is probably something that will change over time.
