I've been trying to watch what I eat lately, and it doesn't seem to be working. I have trouble controlling the amount of calories I intake, and it's getting to be a problem. I'm on the verge of being overweight, and I've been getting more active. Food is the only thing in the way.
What can I do to help restrain myself from eating just junk. Any suggestions or tips? Anything?
Thank you so much!

Some things to do before you start snaking is asking yourself if you are really hungry. If you just ate, it will take about 15 minutes for your food to digest, so wait and see. It sounds starnge, but someetimes you are actually thiristy when you are hungry. Try having a glass of water if you feel a hunger strike coming on. Last, if you are really hungry and you don't want to go overboard, only allow yourself healthy foods. Try to eliminate junk food and pop from your house and put fruit and nuts around you instead. Having less temping foods around you will make your urges a lot less strong. I hope that I helped! [ glacier_dancer's advice column | Ask glacier_dancer A Question ]

ImFakingHotPink answered Wednesday April 4 2007, 3:31 pm: Well you are already admitting that you want to stop eating uncontrollably so when you're about to grap something to eat whether you're bored or want something to munch on just remember that. Grap a piece of fruit instead. Buy some of those carrots and ranch dressing lunch snack things. They're good and it's a perfect snack.
