I slept with my boyfriends father and now he wants to get ma

Question Posted Tuesday April 3 2007, 8:22 pm

I am a 28 year old female, when I was 17 I had a relationship with a divorced man, I was crazy about him but through circumstances that are extremely complicated we ended our affair when I was nineteen and I went off to college. Years passed and I met a great guy who is everything I ever dreamed of we are talking about getting married and we recently went to drinks with his parents. I was so shocked I faked an emergency work call (I'm now a doctor) and fled, my boyfriend has no idea and wants to set up a meeting with his parents to discuss annoucing our engagement. I am so lost what do I do.

Oh jeez, that's a horrible situation. I'm kinda glad I'm not you.

However, just go through with the meeting. If it goes well, then you've got nothing to worry about. And besides, the affair was before you even met your current boyfriend, so he shouldn't even care [if he happens to find out].
