So this might be the wrong category, but whatever.
I HATE having hair "down there", but I'm scared to shave it or anything cause I don't wanna mess up, or cause like rashes and that sorta stuff, and I am NOT having some stranger do it. So how do i shave it? and what should i know?

ND143 answered Wednesday April 4 2007, 2:12 pm: if you've never shaved before, its probably really long so before you take a razor to it, i suggest you just cut off the majority of it with one or two snips of a scissors. that way when the blade gets down there, it cant get caught in the mess. make sure you use soap or shaving cream really good down there to smoothen things out first (it will help reduce bumps a little) and right after you get out of the shower, use a moisturizing lotion right away.. it really does make a difference. expect to get razor burn the first few times..it'll probably be uncomfortable and maybe hurt a little but i swear it goes away as you learn how to do it better and your body gets more used to it. sure, it's your decision whether you do it or not but i say go for it! hmm..i'm assuming you're a girl and almost all girls do. if you arent ready for it now, i could pretty much bet that you would be in a year lol [ ND143's advice column | Ask ND143 A Question ]

and shave the direction the hair grows
if you go against the hair
it will cause irritation and rashes and razor burn .
an ordinary razor will be fine but try to make sure it is new and clean
