Red/Purple dots

Question Posted Thursday March 29 2007, 8:56 pm

Please any advice would be amazing.

Last night, my legs were really itchy. It happens sometimes. I put lotion on them and its usually goes away. But today I noticed tiny red/purple pin point dots on my inner thighs. They aren't bumps. They don't hurt or itch.

If anyone knows anything about it, please any advice is great!

I used to have the same exact reddish/purplish dots when I would scratch my skin.

In a few days, the dots go away, unless you continue to scratch them. I chose to not see a doctor, and I haven't had dots like that in over a year.

I say give it a week to see if they go away like they did for me. If they don't, then contact a dermatologist.

hey

they're probably from shaving. the ones from shaving don't itch or hurt.

however the things you described are
- itchy
- no bumps

so.. i'd suggest seeing a doctor.

for the ones on your inner thigh, they MIGHT be from shaving if you notice they stick up from the skin. if you can feel them sticking up, and they're kinda rough, just put some lotion on it and it will heal. try not to shave so much on that area; get a new shaving blade. blunt shaving blades cause more cuts than sharp ones. ironic, but true.

if i were you, i'd ask my mom first before going to the doctor. moms know a lot of things that you might be surprised she knew :]

i hope i helped!
